Kazo

His name is Alex Soudin, but it is under the name Kazo that he invites us to the unique charm of drums. A percussionist from Martinique with over thirty years of experience, Kazo knows how to communicate his passion for Caribbean, Latin, Cuban and African rhythms. After having enjoyed great success in his home country of Martinique, Kazo immigrated to Quebec where he still lives. He has participated in cultural events such as the FrancoFolies de Montréal, the Montreal Jazz Festival, Nuits d’Afrique, the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, the Ottawa Jazz Festival and Vues d’Afrique to name a few. With various groups, Kazo has produced about twenty albums. He has toured in Canada, the Caribbean, South America, Europe and Africa. Today, Kazo accompanies groups and artists on stage and also offers private lessons and percussion workshops for all ages.
